This week has been a pretty laid back one, I've started looking for Christmas presents for the family and working out how I can get them sent home without them opening them and spoiling the surprise. Whilst looking for their gifts I have (obviously) been looking for gifts for myself, mostly clothes but my ultimate want is a cat. Unfortunately I don't think it will happen as I can't have pets in my apartment, plus I don't think it is fair for a cat to only live indoors!
Hopefully I'll be getting my Christmas tree this week and can then go on the hunt for cute decorations from the 100 Yen store. I did pick up this cute Hello Kitty box, I think I might store all my hairpins in it as I lose them continuously.
I got the cutest gift from one of my students the other day, this Studio Ghibli key chain. It's Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service. I'm always trying to steal the ones that she has on her pencil case so i think her plan might be to get me this one so I stop trying to take hers, but I'll be honest...that's not going to happen, she has the CatBus and Totoro, I must add these to my collection!! (Mwahahaha - evil laugh!)
Whilst at the big shopping centre on Sunday I found one of the things I have been wishing for the most since coming here - a whole roast chicken!! I think it was part of their France speciality foods (I always thought that a roast was an English thing, but hey) oh my gosh did it taste good, I had to hold back from taking a bite out of it on the walk home as I was so eager to try it!
And last but not least, I said in another post that there seems to be a big influx of Disney characters on drink bottles at the moment, well I picked up another one.
